* The <xsl:number> element represents a value for an element as in a list.

* The <xsl:number> element may also use the format attribute to specify the type of numbering used. The values for this attribure are "a," "A," "i," or "I."

* The <xsl:preserve-space> element has also been stated at the top of the stylesheets of the following examples. Note the use of the element attribute whose value is a path. The space to be preserved is stated within the XML document. Only one space is read.

* This XML file was used for all the examples.

* To view the spaces within the XML document, click "View result" then click, View, Source from the menu of the new browser window..
